New Year - Time to Execute

The dawning of a New Year....Did you finish what was on your list for 2016?  Did you make a list....did you need one....or did you make one because you felt that was what was expected of you?

In 2017, simply be on Purpose with Intentions that have realistic expectations. Don't look around and try to impress anyone....just do the thing that has to be done and poured out of your soul. Be About it....Execute on your vision. If you stumble....get back up. If you trip and fall, don't you dare stay down. Be About What you're serious and passionate about.  Release what's fueling/burning deep down within......It might be for a cause, condition....relationship....move....whatever you find at the heart of your heart....Move on it - Execute!

Life is shorter than you think......Live each moment...bookmark the memories....make it great....make it unforgettable.

National Museum of African American History and Culture opens

The National Museum of African American History and Culture will be a place where all Americans can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to their lives and how it helped us shape this nation.  A place that transcends the boundaries of race and culture that divide us, and becomes a lens into a story that unites us all.

On Saturday, the doors of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture will open to the public, achieving a goal of black Americans that has been a century in the making.

The 19th Smithsonian Institution was designed to tell the story of the United States America—from its founding to today—from an African American perspective. The museum will also challenge visitors to grapple with some of the uglier points of American history, from the slave trade to Jim Crow.

“We felt it was crucial to craft a museum that would help America remember and confront, confront its tortured racial past,” said Lonnie Bunch, the director of the museum, at a press conference marking the museum’s opening. “But we also thought while America should ponder the pain of slavery and segregation, it also had to find the joy, the hope, the resiliency, the spirituality that was endemic in this community.”

This Time

Time to waste no more...time to be about unfiltered, unfettered, uninhibited living.....This is the Time....Now is the moment.

Let's choose 'When' over 'If'

Oftentimes, the term 'When' not 'If' is used when there is certainty about a situation or life circumstance.  The term is used when there are indications  that there is a clear solution to a problem, but not an actual deadline, whereas, other times the term "if" is used when there is a potential of something possibly not occurring based on clear indicators.

After this weekend's horrific violence and loss of lives in an Orlando nightclub where patrons were simply out enjoying themselves...loving life...enjoying their friends and ordering their 'last call' for the night, an evil person opened fire, killing 50 innocent people and injuring just as many more.

I now ask 'If' instead of 'When' will it end?  When will the simple solution of empathy be actively placed in the lives of everyone? 'When' can happen if we enact tougher gun control measures.....'When' can happen if we follow-through on our instincts and simply Do The Right Thing by reporting suspicious behavior and educating about respect for diversity and lifestyle differences.

Every life is precious....every life doesn't have to mirror yours....Everyone has a right to be who they are in this world....to love whom they choose and to be treated fairly/equally and with respect.  Mental Health and known evil attempts by perpetrators must be taken seriously or we will continue to witness these types of heinous crimes and continue to mourn severe casualties and loss of innocent lives.  Most of the victims were young and my heart breaks as a parent, trying to imagine the level of consolation that will need to come as nothing short of miraculous to those who've lost loved ones in the days ahead.

May we strive to pay attention and educate those around us that We are All here for a short time....seeking the same things and should be respectful of Life and Liberty for others to live out their lives as they choose and not by dictates of what our personal ideals should be.

Peace, love and comfort to those in Orlando as the healing begins......Let's make this a 'When' moment....not an 'If'...Together, we can make it happen!

Remembering Muhammad Ali - 'The Greatest' - R.I.P. Champ

Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr., January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016), the magnificent heavyweight champion, whose fast fists and irrepressible personality transcended sports and captivated the world, has died according to a statement released by his family. He was 74.  Ali suffered for years from Parkinson's disease, which ravaged his body but could never dim his larger-than-life presence. He was hospitalized earlier this week. A towering figure in his prime, he still traveled and made appearances in his later years despite being muted by the thousands of punches he took during his remarkable career.

He beat the invincible Sonny Liston, fought a string of thrilling fights with Joe Frazier and stopped George Foreman in the "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire. But he paid a terrible price for the estimated 29,000 punches he took to his head during a career that made him perhaps the most recognized person in the world.  Read more here

*Don't give up on that goal....things may have slowed down a bit since you started on the journey of the new business, relationship, health transformation.  Don't get weary....don't let fear and doubt become louder than your mission.  Stick with it....hold on and hold out....keep doing the things that fuel the goal and remember....every obstacle challenges you to greater strength and more insight.  You are becoming familiar with what you can endure and you build resilience on the journey for the next encounter.
Remember...whatever is happening that's uncomfortable (for the moment) - This too....Shall Pass!

Remembering a musical legend: Prince

This is what it sounds like....when doves cry: Over the course of nearly four decades, Prince became an icon of artistry and individuality. It's time for Spring Cleaning

Starting to clear the way

It's time to make room for greatness.  Give away things that no longer serve you or things that are simply taking up space and blocking the blessings that are trying to get to you.

 You might be hanging on to the promise of a promotion at a job that no longer serves you and doesn't respect the gifts that you have to offer....it might be time to start looking elsewhere or finally start your own business.

There are relationships and business arrangements in your life that are stalling the greatest assignments ahead in your life.....You must conjure up enough courage to become aware of what no longer brings value to your life and rid yourself of it.....make room!

Only you know what's lying around stagnant.....Get rid of it - someone else would see it as a treasure if you simply get rid of it...give away....gift it as someone else's blessing and make room for what life has in store for you.  So.....take a look around and within and start cleaning......roll up your sleeves....Get rid of the clutter, the doubt, the blocks.....It's time for Spring Cleaning! Make room for greatness to receive the best Welcome.....Happy clearing....!

Let 'er rip

When was the last time you stalled on a project because you made the mistake of considering how you might be criticized on the outcome?  Are you kidding me?  The authority of the vision and bringing it to fruition lies with you....no one else....You.  The vision was delivered to you for a reason.

You have a responsibility to deliver the ideas, the visions, the dreams.....expressed as either a book, music, business venture, cures, technological advances, long awaited trip......whatever that project/vision happens to be...you owe it to yourself and the trust of the universe for granting it to you to bring it to fruition.

Quit stalling....quit deliberating and most of all, stop being fearful of the opinion of others.  It's not about them and believe it or not, once you give birth to the "thing," you'll be surprised how many people were just waiting on something just like what you've been holding back on.

Open up.....let 'er rip and bring forth the gift that's ready to manifest itself via you!

Adjust your thoughts

You're constantly placing orders for manifestation to occur in your life by your thoughts.  What menu are you ordering from?  Are you consistently mired with thoughts of the 'what ifs' in a negative sense or do you maintain an outlook/order of 'This is what I want it to look like' perspective?  See it AS IS ... in the NOW.

Thoughts are seeds....being planted for the harvest that will be reaped. You have the power to bring your thoughts into alignment with your highest and best intentions for your life.  Dwell on that which you have a preference for seeing manifest.  Begin to consciously process negativity and quickly dispel of those thoughts.......You bring into focus that which you dwell on and the universe conspires to deliver what your mind is envisioning....(be it positive or negative).

Be a witness to the vision of your best life possible. Make necessary 'thought adjustments' as needed, and as soon as they are recognized as not consistent with your life's vision. Think on the highest intentions of possibilities for that which you truly wish to see manifested and it shall come to pass.......Think on only those things!

It's time to Get it done

 Pull a page from the playbook of the Universe and stop sitting on the sideline watching YOUR life pass you by.  You're sitting there....daydreaming about what YOUR life will look like when you finally__________________(fill in the blank with all the visions and excuses) - So, enough already.  You know what it will look like...you've gone over it a million times in your head.  You've talked about it to everyone who would listen...you've even gone so far as to pencil it in on your fabulous stationary or calendar at the 'top of the new year.'

Get up now and do something....anything that gets the ball rolling in the direction of the screenplay you've written.....yep, that's right....the rehearsal that's been in your head for the past few years...months....weeks.....(most likely years) - Nothing happens until YOU set things in motion.

Faith without works is Dead and death has no life, so Get Moving.......You don't have as much time as you think .....so, Make it Happen in 2016 and don't wait until the last quarter to get started.

Believe that you can achieve it This Time....Get It Done!

Make it Happen this year

 There are ideas within you waiting to explode.  You must find a way in 2016 to package the vision that you have and call it a business.  Figure out how you will breathe through getting up enough courage to finally step out, believe in yourself and share the gifts, ideas and abilities that you came here stocked full of.

This is no longer time to sit, dream and allow your brilliance to lie dormant in theory.  Bust a move and make things happen.  Action is what faith looks like!  Faith isn't constantly wishing about it, teaching about it....preaching about it! If you aren't assisting in the manifestation of your dreams, well, you don't really Believe that they can materialize.

What are you believing for your life this year?  What are you sure of?  Why are you doubting?
Make it Happen.....Quit second-guessing yourself. Start making small, incremental or Huge Steps and Share what's waiting to be birthed.....Bring your gifts to the world....Package yourself and you're in Business!

Yep....you've heard it before:  If you build it, they will come.
