You know better than anyone else when you aren't following your passion and fully living out your dreams/potential. Yes, it's safe for some to believe in the 'status quo' of remaining loyal in a place where your heart is dying. Your heart, for the sake of this reminder, will be referenced as your passion, which has been planted by God. There is freedom in following your passion, whereas, loyalty, for the sake of simply sticking it out or playing it safe, creates an environment of imprisonment. Anyone can go through a routine........I'm not suggesting that you abandon 'real life' responsibilities recklessly, but I am suggesting that you start to listen to your heart and follow that passion at some point. Start slowly....but at least start. For those who aren't sure what your passion is......try answering some of the following questions and start keeping a journal about the things that really make you the happiest. There truly is 'Power in your Passion.'
Questions:
Do you consider what you do on a daily basis a job, career or a calling? If you received $50M, what would you do? What is your strength? What do you honestly love? What makes you smile....a LOT? What do you find yourself dreaming about? What do you lose track of time in? If you could change something, what would make you excited about getting out of bed? Are you presently living YOUR dream or someone else's? What will be written on your tombstone or spoken about you at the end of your life? What will someone remember about you?
Start keeping a journal of the little things that spark a bit of interest and cause a stir in your spirit. Take notice of your natural talents..When was the last time you asked your closest friends what they thought you were really good at? Go back to your childhood and recall what you wanted to do/be when you grew up. You're still breathing, so....You still have time to live out your passion.....there is 'Power in your Passion.'
