Please share
Please share....I almost beg of you
Why must you withhold yourself from all.....
Quit thinking it's not good enough because it doesn't imitate.......
Surely, you must not want to be an imitation?
Please share....I know it's great
The love that I see you carry must surely be leading
you into the most magnificent of creations.
I wonder what the colors will look like/feel like.....
I can't wait to hear the sounds that you'll create
The melodies, I'm sure will be beautiful,
the colors will be perfectly brilliant, the dance energized.
The vibrancy and the frequency of the creative
words that will spill onto the papers when you
share the stories of your experiences of this life will lift....
Please share....we wait....I wait and wonder
What will it be like.....to capture the love that you'll
bring....that you'll share.......
You're ready and you're uniquely qualified to share
as only You can.......Please share.

Celebrating the life of Langston Hughes
"My People"
The night is beautiful,
So the faces of my people.
The stars are beautiful,
So the eyes of my people
Beautiful, also, is the sun.
Beautiful, also, are the souls of my people.

Windswept
Windswept with gladness
Powered by the force of Love
Encouraged by Life's great lessons
Embraced by strength from above.
Shielded by life's loving
Pushed by my God's knowing
Led into this oneness
Shining with His Love.
Growing as I'm living
Loving as I go
Windswept by my living
Powered by this Love.
Teaching as I'm learning
Giving as I receive
Loving because I am loved
Following, as I lead.
Praising because I'm grateful
Grateful because I praise
Thankful for life's living
Windswept by this love.

R.I.P. Whitney Houston
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer, actress, producer, and model. Houston was the most awarded female act of all time, according to Guinness World Records. Her list of awards includes 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards as of 2010. Houston was also one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. Inspired by prominent soul singers in her family, including her mother Cissy Houston, cousins Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick, and her godmother Aretha Franklin, Houston began singing with New Jersey church's junior gospel choir at age 11. After she began performing alongside her mother in night clubs in the New York City area, she was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. Houston released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification. The 'pay it forward' kind of love
The freedom of moving in the direction that the wind blows me....the wind here, being the calling from God's gifts inside of me, which are laced with love. The freedom of love...the love you get because it's given....all one in the same. The love that you know can't be contained inside of you....the love that deserves to be shared. This freedom of the dance of life and love inspires me to keep paying it forward. This 'pay if forward' kind of love is what will change lives and heal the land. This 'Pay it forward' kind of love will teach the young, draw from the wise and prepare for the future. A 'pay it forward' kind of love that has gained strength and resilience through trials, tests and victories. Love that's Free and Real....Love that brings truth that heals....Love that simply is the beginning and the end.....Love, that is......Love. Heal in the dance of love, speak truth with love, dare to dream because of love......step out on faith, in love and then simply......'pay that love forward'.......It's time for some love paid forward kind of living!

Don Cornelius (September 27, 1936 – February 1, 2012) - Originally a journalist inspired by the civil rights movement, Cornelius recognized that in the late 1960s,there was no television venue in the United States for soul music, and introduced many African-American musicians to a larger audience as a result of their appearances on Soul Train, a program that was both influential among African-Americans and popular with a wider audience.
