Affirm only Positive Energy.....Release worries and stop searching outside for answers ....Everything that you need is 'Inside' ..... Love yourself more this year than you did last year and your capacity to extend that love will increase towards others .... Seek within, for The Kingdom is Within YOU! Happy Kwanzaa

Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday honoring African culture and traditions. It falls between December 26 and January 1 each year. Maulana Karenga, an African-American leader, proposed this observance and it was first celebrated between December 1966 and January 1967.

 Kwanzaa is a holiday honoring the culture and traditions of people of African origin. It is celebrated by people from a range of African countries and their descendants. Kwanzaa consists of a week of celebrations, which ends with a feast and the exchange of gifts. During the celebrations, candles are lit and libations are poured. A libation is the name given to a ritual pouring of a drink as an offering to a god. During Kwanzaa, a wooden unity cup is used to pour the libations.

A Kwanzaa ceremony often also includes performance of music and drumming, a reflection on the Pan-African colors of red, green and black and a discussion of some aspect of African history. Women often wear brightly colored traditional clothing. Some cultural organizations hold special exhibitions of African influenced art or performances during the period of the celebrations.

Originally the people observing Kwanzaa did not mix any elements of other festivals into their celebrations. However, in recent years, it has become increasingly common for people to mix elements of Kwanzaa with Christmas or New Year celebrations. For instance, a family may have both a Christmas tree and a Kwanzaa candle stick on display in their home. This enables them to include both Christian and African inspired traditions in their lives at this time of year.

When simply 'Being' becomes the order of the day, you'll gain a world of power.  When you can relax in the present moment of recognizing that your next breath is a miracle, you become conscious and you display Gratitude more often.  Recognize the present moment as a gift.....learn to appreciate the moments when you are genuinely present to relax, breathe, laugh, think, cry, feel, love and simply 'Be'..... Appreciate the times that will soon become memories. The order of the day is: Be in the Present Moment..........

Your Life, your Song......

There will always be inspiration that stirs within you and only you can hear the sounds, the words, the rhythm...the melody. The inspiration is divine and for you.  It's the call on your life........It's the part of you that defines the meaning of who and what you bring, that yearns to be released and shared.  It truly is your life. It's your gift.....your divine blessing.  Don't allow others to define the melody that your life should be swaying to.  Only you can hear the melody......only you can write the perfect lyrics and you should be singing it....dancing to it and Living it Out Loud.  It's your Life.....Live it!

Still Blooming....

Oh well, since the weather can't seem to make up its mind, my roses have decided to wake up and play in the sunshine a bit more. A few nights ago, I had to go out and cover the shrubs because of the danger of frost with the temps dropping into near freezing, but lately the temps have  been in the low 70's, so these beauties decided to wake up and flaunt their brilliance a bit longer.  I simply love watching them grow.....Roses!

Trust the Truth....

Today seems like a good day to hone in on the voices that might be leading you in the wrong direction and to build up the muscle needed to silence those voices that cause pride to rise up and bring about ruin and chaos. Ego has a way of making you choose foolishly, so try to dial into the part of your soul that will protect you from yourself. Learn to recognize when ego has entered in ....Trust Yourself....Your Intuition......it is here to protect you, if you only believe it 'the first time'......don't second-guess.......Trust the source that is here to guide and protect you......the God-source, the real place......The Truth....instruction from within your soul!

What are you reflecting......

Welcome to a wonderful, new December week!   Take inventory in the coming days to see what might need to be pruned, enhanced or expanded upon in your life. What is being reflected in your environment? Oftentimes, if we are displaying bitterness, bitterness will be reflected in our lives....if we are dishonest, deceptive and cruel, these attitudes and behaviors are also reflected. 
If Love, Kindness, Patience, Service and empathy are part of our lifestyle, this will be a reflection of our environment. So.....take inventory and notice what is normal in your surroundings? You play a crucial role in how people are treating you, by sending a clear message which will ultimately be reflected back. If you want Respect....Respect Yourself......If you want kindness, Be Kind....etc., - Be What you are seeking! Today and Always, Reflect Love and Peace......and see how it affects your surroundings. If the opposite is being returned....there is work to do and you get to call the shots (pruning, expanding, deleting....correcting) - It's all about the man (woman) in the mirror.....it begins with YOU! - Have an Awesome week! - Peace & Love on the journey!

Since there is always something to be Thankful for, let's not take one day out of the year to express our Gratitude. May we find blessings in the simplest of things on a daily basis. May we be forever grateful for our family, friends, loved ones and acquaintances. May we show our love and kindness to strangers and continue to send a frequency of Grateful energy into the atmosphere. Be thankful for inhaling and exhaling. - Enjoy your holiday and be the blessing that you seek, in order that someone else will be blessed by you. Make each day a Day of Thanksgiving!

If we truly open our eyes, we will see; if we honestly listen, we will hear; if we trust the voice within, our questions will be answered and directions given.

Faith makes it possible....

Be Bold enough to Believe in limitless possibilities! - Be Courageous enough to take the first step and keep moving in the direction of your passion. Having Faith doesn't mean challenges won't appear, but your steadfast belief in achieving the goal will push you to the finish line. Never Give Up.....Keep the Faith...Believe/Achieve!

If you want it bad enough, you will not lose sight of the goal.  If you have passion for the object, you will find a way, make a way and see it through.  Don't think that challenges, discouraging thoughts or negative factors won't arise on the way to your destination, but as long as you Keep the Faith and Believe that it is possible, you will succeed. Let your voice be heard

 Your voice....Your Vote. During an election, your vote becomes your voice, your choice, your.....Decision. Make it count and encourage someone else to speak out and take a stand for what is important to the future of this country.  Rock the Vote.

If you're a registered voter and you are choosing not to vote in this election, shame on you! It wasn't that long along that many citizens were denied the opportunity to have a voice in an election, women were silenced and many fought and died so that today, voices could be heard and included in the decisions for the direction of this nation.

Set aside whatever differences you may have and voice your opinions at the polls, in the booths.....but whatever your decision, start out by getting out to VOTE.......let your voice be heard.....it does count! VOTE!

Your Unique Life

Your life is unique in the universe. Don't deny others the joy of your true identity. You are successful when you are being your true, beautiful self. Bring truth and all the gifts to the table that you are endowed with. Express the love, laughter, joy and peace that is the make-up of you and allow others to bask in the comfort of who you truly are. Never compare yourself with others, because you send the message that you aren't happy with who you are. By being you, you allow others the freedom to lighten up and be themselves. Give your Best.....Be Your Best, today and Always! YOU are unique and special. Celebrate what you bring to the planet, that no other being can duplicate. Only you can deliver you and your unique qualities......Go ahead....Showcase and Celebrate You!

Trusting Intuition

Your intuition/soul is the home where every answer lies. Even before you seek counsel or advice from the world, YOU already have the answer. You might not be trusting what the deepest part of you is delivering, but if you truly believe your story and you honestly believe in yourself and have 'Faith' the way you claim that you do.....then TRUST YOUR INTUITION...... it is the truest part of anything about you.

 Many people recognize already that this is where the God-source of you lies. This is where the universe guides and supports your journey. Don't hesitate.....don't doubt......Trust and you won't have multiple occasions in hindsight to say "I knew it....I knew it....I felt it....but....." - Don't underestimate the power and truth of your gut / intuition.....Flow in it....be guided by it....Listen and Wait! (keep in mind, I'm not referring to hunches....but intuition.....a place where you've evolved to listening and hearing within) - Peace and Love on the journey!

Rise to the occasion of Gratitude

Rise to the occasion of being content with the things that life affords you.  Learn to accept what simply can't change and be grateful each day for the most basic of needs being met.  There are people all over this world, who live without basic necessities and yet, some people who have more than enough,  have the audacity to still complain about their wants, not necessarily their needs. Empathy can help us appreciate those who are less fortunate, and life has a way of humbling us if we're not careful.

Adopt an attitude of gratitude and learn to be grateful and content in all situations.  It could be worse, but that option isn't always considered, but mostly taken for granted.  To rise to a new day's dawning is an opportunity to give thanks.  To be able to breathe and have food to eat and clothes to wear is an opportunity to be grateful.  Thanksgiving and Gratitude is the ticket to receiving more in abundance.

When you are content with the things that you have, you will be amazed at the sweetest of unexpected blessings and gifts that will arise on the horizon.  Right now is a good time to "Give Thanks."

For some, Columbus Day is celebrated. For others....

The beauty of acceptance

Cultivate the peace that lies within. Begin to accept the things in this life that will not change. Accept people as they are and you will relieve yourself of undue suffering. Live in the presence of each moment and see things as they truly are. There are occasions when you have the absolute power to change things....but when things cannot and should not be changed, Accept them and relieve yourself of undue suffering. Needless suffering is sometimes unconscious....but once you come to the realization, that it can't be changed.....there is no need to suffer, "If" you choose consciously, to Accept! The greatest gift that you can give yourself and others is to love and accept unconditionally! 

Finish what you've started

Welcome to a brand new month....the month of October.  I'm beginning to notice changes in the leaves outside of my window and there's an atmosphere of change in the air. This is the perfect time of the year to uncover those ideas that you tucked away during the busy summer season. It's a time to revamp your plans, be it business, relational, health...whatever needs to be fine-tuned in your life. Now is the perfect time to consider needed changes.

Time is not waiting for anyone.  It's already the last quarter of the year.  Have you crossed off much on your 'To Do' list for the year? Did you keep any of the resolutions for 2012? You still have time to regroup, recharge and push a bit harder, go a little further..... just keep pressing!

Plan how this year will end during this final quarter.  Write it down, make it plain.  Embrace an accountability partner to hold you to your dreams and aspirations; someone who is not likely to let you off the hook, but someone who will encourage and inspire you along the way, because they too, believe in you. Believe that it can be achieved and take the necessary steps to move you in the direction of actionable progress.

Give it your best shot! It's a new season....time for change. Finish what you've started......Begin what you've envisioned.

Time to Observe....Time to Wake Up!

You gain a wealth of valuable information about a person by simply observing, as opposed to asking questions.  It's good to pose questions for information that's purely objective, but when you're wanting to gain a foothold into the core soul of a person's character and where their values lie, simply pay attention to how they're responding to the world around them.  Watch the choices they're making and the agreements that they co-sign to.

I've been amazed, but not surprised, by some of the comments and attitudes I've had the opportunity to observe from people who have the neat little hypocritical facades on during the normal course of their day.  All I can do is say "Wow"....this is truly who you are.  Now, the ego has played a great deal into the illusion of who most people have settled into being and it's such a sad state.

A person who only tags onto agreeing with the opinions that someone else has formed for them, has given up  thinking for themselves.  They feel that despite any common sense of what's being presented, with compassion and humanity, they would still prefer to tagline with the opinions of someone whom the media or cultural generations have presumed has the most appropriate/right way of doing things.

It's time that people wake up and learn to have a conscience of their own.....quit being so lazy and research and figure out that some things simply are 'just not right'.....It doesn't take a clown at a circus with a big red nose or floppy ears and big shoes to convince you that he looks funny, so why must you wait to be told when to laugh.  Do the work.....grow up......mature in wisdom......gain compassion.....accept truth......respect humanity and become better.....release ego and adopt non-judgemental lifestyles.   Do the work within and you'll be observed/and can, in turn, observe and discern and be received as a compassionate, honest, truthful and caring human being. It's really time to Wake Up!

Throw it away

 Not to diminish the reality of loss, but far too many live in the moment of something that may never happen.  Living your life begins to feel like partial paralysis, because you always have the thought that "If I give, I'll have less" which is not the appropriate mantra to live by.  When you're giving love and living your life fully, you're always a huge recipient of the joy that is being shared.

Start living each day as though it were your last.  Share the love, lessons and joy on this journey, so that it might  bring joy to someone else.  Open your hand, so that what you have to contribute might be released and what you need can enter in.

Magic words:  Throw it away....throw it away - Give your love, live your life each and every day.
...And keep your hands wide open, let the sun shine through, 'cause you can never lose a thing if it belongs to you.

Keep the Beat

There's rhythm in everything that you do.  Check your heartbeat...there's rhythm....check your footsteps....rhythm....raindrops....rhythm.....you get my point.  There is also rhythm to anything that you've made a habit of, whether it's good or bad....positive or negative. Get in the swing of continuous rhythm moving in the direction of uplift and positive vibrations.  Take inventory of your daily routines.  What have you been doing consistently? What has brought about rhythm in your life?  Perhaps, it time for you to 'change your tune' and get into the rhythm of doing those things that are in alignment with your dreams and your true life's calling.

Are you whistling while you work? Are you smiling when you're heading in the direction of what's  been routine in your life? Take inventory......check yourself.....listen to your heartbeat and listen to your heart.

How's the rhythm? Is it steady.....balanced......syncopated.....funky.....smooth......? Find the rhythm that makes your heart healthy......increase the volume of what's making you alive......and keep the beat......check the rhythm.......check yourself.......ad lib and improvise as your vision expands.

You can always adjust the tempo.......but keep the rhythm of life moving in a positive direction.

Live your truth

How often have you decided that what someone else believed about you and your future was true? Focus today on reminding yourself that your life is unique and that your destiny is your own.  Nobody has the right to impose their grandiose ideas for your life's fulfillment. There's nothing wrong with someone offering suggestions or constructive criticism regarding your activity or pursuits, but you should never extinguish a desire that burns deep within you that's leading you to the path that brings you into the fullness of who you were created to be.

You can be your own worst critic and you can sabotage your gift.  It's okay to park things and gather your thoughts, ideas, get some things in order, but never run the risk of living with the resentment of taking the advice of someone who can't hear the melody of your life's calling. This is your job....your assignment.

Many of us can see that you are fully capable, talented, brilliant and naturally assigned for certain things, however, there is a voice and a pull, a compass that leads you to a special place, that you have been assigned to fulfill.  I hope that you will listen and adhere to the voice and follow the road that leads you to the greatest unfolding of your imagination.

Go where spirit is calling you.  Go to the place that completes all of you....Share with the world what you have been designed to bring. Your assignment, your gift to mankind was placed inside of you when you were created.  Live out your highest potential.....Live out your truth! © 2012 Brenda Gale

Remembering Whitney - Happy Birthday!

Today, I remember Whitney! - Whitney Houston is the voice that will always be remembered....never to be forgotten.  We were all in a state of shock when the news was broadcast and couldn't quite understand how/why such a gifted soul left so soon, but her music and other gifts of artistry and love will forever live on. Many have tried/imitated, but none have duplicated. Happy Birthday Whitney....You are always remembered....never to be forgotten. Rest in Peace Beloved Superstar!

So, when it comes to classic soul music....you must include the soulful, sultry sounds of Anita Baker and She's Back! Today, she released the single, "Lately" from her upcoming project, entitled, Only Forever. I can't wait to hear the entire project. Curiosity lands on the Red Planet

Curiosity's Surroundings:

NASA's most advanced Mar's rover, Curiosity, has landed on the Red Planet. The one-ton rover, hanging by ropes from a rocket backpack, touched down onto Mars early Monday EDT to end a 36-week flight and begin a two year investigation.

U.S. Women's Gymnastics: First Gold since '96

LONDON -- One by one, the Americans thundered down the runway, soared high above the vault and slammed into the mat. Boom! Boom! Boom! When the fireworks were over, so was everybody else's chance for the gold medal. The Americans lived up to their considerable hype and then some Tuesday night, routing silver medalist Russia and everybody else on their way to their first Olympic title in women's gymnastics since 1996. It doesn't take that long

It doesn't take as long as you think! - Oftentimes, we feel that healing or manifestation should take a very long time.....not so, when you 'choose' to believe. This is not to minimize the divinity of timing, etc., however.....If you believe in something....you must choose to Breathe life into it. Make it happen by stepping into it, taking the steps that will bring life to it and watch it live! - Breathe Life into what you believe in!- Whatever you're believing already has life in your conscious mind anyway, so ... take the steps that bring it to pass. - It doesn't take as long as you think it should ~ The stronger your spirit becomes, the less authority linear time has in your life. - Peace & love on your journey today!

Take nothing for granted

Sometimes, life becomes routine and the everyday things start to get taken for granted. Yes, things like going to a movie theater and expecting that you can sit down, eat your popcorn and enjoy the entertainment.  Well, life is so fragile nowadays that, some people simply do not respect life anymore....not their life and certainly not the lives of others.

Yes, I'm referencing the recent cowardly ordeal that took place by a  lone gunmen in Aurora, CO.  How unglued must one become, to sit and plan out such a horrific act? My heart goes out to the families, friends and loved ones of those whose lives were snuffed out and to the families and loved ones of those who haven't heard about the conditions/whereabouts of their loved ones, as well as the ones who have been wounded by this senseless act of an obviously, depraved individual.

This is another reminder that we must Take Nothing for granted! Each sunrise is a gift.  Treat each encounter as a blessing on your journey and acknowledge it as such.  No day is a guarantee ~ Live and Love, keeping this thought in mind.  Pay attention to the details that you want to recall....Be intentional with your living! - Be kind....Be Happy....Create Beautiful memories for yourself and for someone else ~ Be love! ---[Praying for the families affected by the horrendous, senseless act in Aurora, CO]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nelson Mandela (Nelson Rolihlahla Dalibhunga Mandela AKA 'Madiba') - Mandela: "I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (born 18 July 1918) served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, and was the first South African president to be elected in a fully representative democratic election. Before his presidency, Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and the leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). In 1962 he was arrested and convicted of sabotage and other charges, and sentenced to life inprison. Mandela served 27 years in prison, spending many of these years on Robben Island. Following his release from prison on 11 February 1990, Mandela led his party in the negotiations that led to multi-racial democracy in 1994. As president from 1994 to 1999, he frequently gave priority to reconciliation.

Take all the time you need

After recently celebrating another glorious birthday, I stopped to remind  myself that I should celebrate 'Me' as often as I can/should. We all have schedules, 'to-do' lists, pressing deadlines and non-essentials that seem to crowd out the time that we need for re-charging and celebrating our own greatness. Give yourself credit for juggling the chores, surviving traffic, giving a great presentation, drying a child's tears and encouraging a friend. We rush through life and at the end of the day, we haven't stopped long enough to take a deep breath, sip a glass of wine, listen to soothing music or read a book.  It's time to be reminded that You are important and you should make time to relax and celebrate 'You' in whatever fashion calms you and keeps you smiling.

You are Loved, Beautiful and Blessed more than you know.  You have a barrage of friends and family who depend on you, who adore you, who look forward to hearing from you, being hugged by you and just being in your presence, so take good care of yourself, so that your absence doesn't bring sadness to them too soon...

Forget about feeling guilty if you want to simply 'Do Nothing'...... Turn on the music, grab a chilled glass of summer wine....kick your shoes off and simply 'Chill'...that's right......"CHILL" ~

Take care of your health: Exercise, eat a healthy diet, fill your life with positivity, slow down and 'Take all the time you need'............Celebrate Life.....Celebrate You! - BG

Practice

 Fall in love with your practice and compromise it for nothing in exchange on your path to greatness.  ~ Lose track of time when immersed in practice of your love for a thing, a craft, a gift....an art-form.  Give it attention.....nurture it so that it grows. What have you found that has no attachments to time? Practice deserves glory......Practice can make the difference between good and better and better and great! Go for the gusto - the Love in the moment of doing the thing! Practice....use it or lose it.

Choose the end from the Beginning

Each day, you get to shape your realities and your life experiences by your conscious/subconscious thoughts and your intentions. As with cause and effect, whenever you participate in a cause, you are in actuality, participating in the effect. Whenever a seed is planted, a harvest will eventually spring forth. Whenever there is manipulation and an honest intent is not at the root, the results and negativity of that act/cause will be a negative outcome, experience/effect.

Look around and take inventory of your environment, your friends, associates, business partners, etc. Is there an energy of positivity or negativity, of regrets, resentments? This is all a part of the environment which you have participated in, either by your tolerance or your intentional mindset of creating a space filled with love energy and all things good. There will be natural circumstances that are out of your control,  however, you are always in control of how you are experiencing/perceiving the world around you.  

There is a saying, "If a fool looks into a mirror, a sage will not look out."  - Your environment is a reflection of what you are creating.  It becomes a matter of: what is being created here. A reflection in the mirror won't change, until what is reflected changes. In other words, for some of us, we may have to ''change our stinkin' thinkin.''

Become conscious of your thoughts and your intentions. You are projecting onto the world, a reflection of your internal consciousness.  There will be times when a thing won't change, but simply accept that and start seeing it in a different light. Change the way you are seeing it and the experience becomes less stressful.

Are you intentional about what you want today, tomorrow.......in this life? Cause and Effect........You are a part of the outcome/the experience. Closely align your intentions with the experience that you would like to be a part of. Imagine the probable end, at the beginning. Choose the proper seeds for the intended harvest.

Experience something new

Are you missing the small details? Are you not taking full advantage of what life has to offer? Have you found yourself stuck in the same old routine? Perhaps it's time to switch gears. Experience something new! - Try a new recipe...new haircut....a different vacation spot....an alternate route for your daily walk/jog, shop at a different store, change your coffee/tea, etc. Most importantly, start viewing life differently. Open your eyes and pay attention to the tiny details of life. You'll be surprised at the beauty that you've been missing. Something new....something different, interesting, Amazing....Try it!

Choose Wisely

Choices = Experiences! Each time you choose, you're programming a life experience for yourself and those involved in your life. Your thoughts are a part of your subconscious choices. If you're thinking negative thoughts....you're drawing negative responses to your outcomes, so that your experience is directly related to what YOU are choosing. The opposite also holds true. Your experience is directly related to your ability to make wise choices. All it takes sometimes is a few seconds to rethink......to change the outcome of your experience.  Each experience you've had/ are having/ will have is directly tied to a choice that YOU made/will make. Think..............and then Choose....Wisely! That is your freedom.

How's the Winner in YOU?  It's a great week to "Make it Happen" - toss fear, breathe deeply, hold your head up, knock down the giants, maintain your confidence and step boldly in the direction of your dreams/purpose! The universe supports only what YOU Believe you are capable of achieving! It's time to mute the voices of naysayers and those who continue to discourage your dreams and try to steer you in the direction of a path that leads you to support of perhaps, their ambitions for your life, but does your purpose no good! Be loyal to the dreams that you have...the purpose that you are destined for/that you were created to manifest and Believe in YOU for a change!
